External Services Expresssion of Interest

If you wish to submit an expression of interest to allow external services to support your child during school hours, we ask that you please consider the below.

Priority is given to:

  • Families who are unable to access external services outside of school hours due to work commitments.
  • Children who require intensive therapy to support their individual developmental needs.

As a school, we are committed to creating a supportive environment where students can access therapy sessions when necessary. The Department has clear guidelines on how schools should approach this, and we are required to uphold these policies. We appreciate families' understanding of our position.

While we are going beyond the minimum requirements because we recognise the importance of early intervention, we also have a responsibility to protect students’ learning time. Our aim is to balance both priorities to ensure the best outcomes for all students.

There are two document that must be submitted though our online portal.
Expressions of interest for Terms 3 and 4 2025

Once submitted please allow up to 7-10 business days for the school to approve/decline your application.

The outcome of your application will be responded to via the provided email address.

No onsite visits/appointment can be scheduled until you have your approval email.

External Service Observations in the Classroom

Classroom observations by external services must be initiated by the classroom teacher. Requests will only be considered when the teacher has already implemented a range of adjustments and requires further professional advice to support the child’s needs.

The school has a responsibility to uphold child safety requirements and to manage the high number of requests in a fair and balanced way. We understand that this information may be disappointing for some families, but it is essential that these requests are handled appropriately.

Please note that organising external services to provide therapy at our school for your child requires significant time and effort. This includes scheduling, liaising with service providers, and making the necessary arrangements. As a school, we invest these resources because we recognise the importance of supporting your child's development. However, this service is not an entitlement; rather, it is something we facilitate where possible to benefit students.

We need to work together to ensure this process is effective and sustainable. Our focus is on collaboration and discussion to determine the best support options for your child. We appreciate your understanding of the effort involved in making these opportunities available.
